The pneumatic dunnage products (air bags) listed below have completed testing and have been verified for a period of three years from the date indicated. Pneumatic dunnage that has successfully completed testing, as noted in the Product Performance Profile for Pneumatic Dunnage, will require Association of American Railroads re-verification every three years1 . Any change to a verified bags’ material composition or method of manufacture, including valve type or location, requires re-verification.
Beginning in 2014, suppliers, vendors and distributors have the opportunity to have pneumatic dunnage products that have been verified by a manufacturer listed in this Product Verification List under a separate trade or brand name. To qualify, a supplier must provide written confirmation from the manufacturer identifying their company as an authorized representative of that manufacturer’s products, and that the product is the same in both material and method of manufacture as the product verified. Level 1 Dunnage Bags are AAR verified and most preferred types of our bags.
Paper Equivalent : 2 ply paper bags inside liner heavy duty (LD, LL, Metallocene)
Liner Micron : 71 to 80
Transportation Method : Truck/Container – Vertical or Horizontal Voids
Max. Operating pressure : 2-3 PSI

Level 2 Dunnage Bags can be used in all shipping containers – either piggyback (container or trailer on the Railroad) or for ocean transport.
Paper Equivalent : 4 ply paper bags inside liner heavy duty (LD, LL, Metallocene)
Liner Micron : 90 to 110
Transportation Method : Truck/Container/Ocean – Vertical or Horizontal
Max. Operating pressure : 6 PSI
In rail cars they can be used for filling lengthwise voids in loads up to 75,000 lbs (34.000 kg)
